ABOUT THIS BROOCH

The finest and most passionate artists give extraordinary attention to every detail of their work. This utterly delightful brooch is a representation of such heightened artistry. A little bird, with a bright garnet eye, is realistically hand fabricated in gold with engraved feathers and, fittingly fashioned with freshwater natural wing pearls for its wings and tail. He rests upon a branch bearing textured gold leaves and brightly sparkling European and Swiss-cut diamonds, and is ready for display on your ensemble. A miniature masterpiece - circa 1900. Total diamond weight, .38 carat. Hand fabricated in 18K green gold (leaves) and 14K rose gold.

About Edwardian Jewelry

Edwardians took the dark beauty of Victorian jewelry and dyed it platinum blonde. Light and airy filigree, worked with intricate millegrain and detailed designs in that durable metal, was liberally set with the “white” stones—pearls and diamonds chief among them.
