Edwardian Toi et Moi Diamond Ring
ABOUT THIS RING
The beauty and appeal of toi et moi rings--symbolizing two lives coming together in love--is that there is a multitude of imaginative ways to express their meaning. Beautifully detailed, this unique Edwardian version (dating back to the first or second decade of the twentieth century), presents a pair of lively old mine-cut diamonds set side-by-side (total weight, .55 carat), accented north and south by a bright single-cut stone, and east and west by pairs of glimmering rose-cut diamonds. Lotus-like flowers, fashioned by exquisite piercing, complete the design, creating an overall subtle dome shape. Hand engraving, delightful openwork shoulders, and milgrain detailing add the finishing flourishes to this bold and distinctive jewel. Total diamond weight, .81 carat. Hand fabricated in 18K white gold, currently ring size 8.
