ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

A rare and beautiful, all original, classic antique necklace from the second or third quarter of the 19th century. Encompassing half the necklace are 23 graduated diamond pendants in a stylized foliate design alternating with small leafy diamond elements above and between them. Produced in silver over rose gold with a dark, time appropriate antique patina. 30 old-mine cut diamonds and 166 rose-cut diamonds total at least 6.00 carats. Majestic! French Hallmarks.
