ABOUT THIS BROOCH

These serene Buddhas, fashioned in colorful molded glass, were once all the rage in 1920s France and were retailed by some of the most prestigious bijoutières, Lacloche Frères chief among them (although this unique double jabot pin is unmarked). Finely hand fabricated in platinum over 18K yellow gold, the translucent (and transcendent) blue and green enlightened ones wear glittering rose-cut diamond crowns and necklaces, and rest on thrones set with rose cuts. Just over 1 3/4 inches.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
