ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

Beautifully representative of the flowing lines associated with the Art Nouveau aesthetic, this lovely sliding locket, crafted in rich 18K gold with a satiny finish by medallist Louis Armand Rault, features a fabulous femme in profile adorned with a diamond-dotted pansy and encircled by flowering vines twinkling here and there with tiny diamonds. The locket slides open to reveal a photo compartment and suspends from a 16-inch cable chain. Circa 1895-1910. Condition note: Some small dents on the rear are commensurate with the age of the piece.
