ABOUT THIS JEWELRY

Peacock feather? Hot air balloon? Exotic headdress? We leave the interpretation of this absolutely astonishing and alluring pendant, by way of mid-century France, to the wonderful whim of your imagination. A glorious, vibrant green cabochon emerald (weighing 6.50 carats) casts a captivating glow, surrounded by a frame embellished with black enamel, glossy gold scrolls, and twisted gold wire, while openwork "feathers," dotted with dazzling European-cut diamonds, form a fabulous platinum plume. Oh my! But wait, there's more. Articulated emerald-tipped tassels hang below, gathered at the center by a bold band of bright diamonds. Need even more? On days when a set is necessary, there are matching earrings. Total diamond weight for the set, 3.25 carats. Total emerald weight for the set, 11.75 carats. Large emeralds in necklace and earrings accompanied by gemological reports from the GIA stating: Natural, Minor Clarity Enhancement (F1), Colombia - Origin. Hand fabricated in platinum and 18K gold. 20-inch chain.

About Mid-Century Jewelry

Mid-Century jewelers gave the Victorians a run for their money when it came to variety—with the added bonus of big, bold gems in every shape, size, and color. Themes of previous eras were made fabulous enough to match the optimism of the post-war world. Transitional pieces bridged the gap between the first and second half of the 20th century.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
