According to the British Museum: "Henri Dropsy. Medallist. Born in Paris. Studied under his father J. B. Dropsy, and under Thomas, Vernon (q.v.) and Patey. Taught medal-making at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris, for many years." Dropsy sculpted this divine pendant of The Holy Virgin haloed in glittering rose-cut diamonds and translucent cobalt blue plique-à-Jour enamel. This exquisite and uniquely stunning work of art is crafted in 18K yellow gold. The newer chain measures 18 inches.
