ABOUT THIS BRACELET

You can pick the petals off a daisy to determine if the object of your affection loves or loves you not, or you can have much more fun doing so by playing Roulette de L'amour with this fascinating Van Cleef & Arpels charm bracelet. A chunky chain of velvety gold ribbed and rope-like links is adorned with a portable roulette wheel marked with possible outcomes (in French, of course): un peu (a little), beaucoup (a lot), pas de tout (not at all), a la folie (madly), passion (passionately), je t'aime (I love you). Accented around its perimeter with bezel-set cabochon rubies and turquoise, just give it a spin and a single turquoise bead will reveal the level of reciprocity. Fabulous fun! Crafted in 18K gold, it measures a bit over 7 1/2 inches. Charm can be removed and worn as a pendant. 1960s.

About Mid-Century Jewelry

Mid-Century jewelers gave the Victorians a run for their money when it came to variety—with the added bonus of big, bold gems in every shape, size, and color. Themes of previous eras were made fabulous enough to match the optimism of the post-war world. Transitional pieces bridged the gap between the first and second half of the 20th century.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
