ABOUT THIS BROOCH

Fashioned in a distinctive modified navette shape, this exquisite and modestly sized Art Deco brooch is beautifully pierced to create a floral-like design that glitters all over with European- and single-cut diamonds. It glistens at its center with glorious color, courtesy of a .90 carat bluish-green cabochon emerald, accented east and west with a single baguette. Try pinning it at the neck of your button-up shirt, on the cuff of your favorite chunky sweater, or with several other pins. Options abound. Total diamond weight, 1.85 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum, circa 1920s. Pin mechanism is 14K white gold. Accompanied by a GIA Gemological Report stating: Natural Beryl - Emerald. No indications of clarity enhancement; Geographic origin - Colombian.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
