ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

A subtly graduated, 18 inch, apple-green jade bead necklace connects to a carved jade plaque centerpiece that does double duty as the clasp. A fun, verdent and informal, and somewhat exotic estate necklace - circa 1940s-1950s. Fifty-nine jade beads range from 4.3 to 6.8 millimeters. Both the necklace and clasp bear gemological certification stating: natural color - no treatment, the carved plaque is identified as being of Burmese origin.
