About the Lang Collection

It’s no secret that our first love here at Lang is the all-original antique or vintage engagement ring. It’s what we’re known for! But sometimes an original ring comes to us with a setting that’s simply too well-worn to use, or we get a “loose” vintage diamond in need of a new home. For these lonely stones, we’ve created a line of vintage-inspired engagement rings —faithful to the classics, but built to last through the next few lifetimes. These sought-after styles can sometimes be hard to find in a true vintage ring, and our line provides an eco-friendly opportunity to have the best of the past and the present.

The soft radiance of round European-cut stones always melts our hearts…but we also know it’s hip to be square! Some especially shapely ones, of both the emerald-cut and the “square emerald-cut” (aka Asscher) variety, make their way into our newly rendered settings. They’re among our favorite cuts to showcase.

If platinum leaves you cold, we set many of our repurposed stones in warm, rich gold for a look that mixes classic and contemporary. Stick with cheery yellow or evoke both the antique and the contemporary with pretty and desirable rose gold. These pair easily with traditional wedding bands—which we also make to match these engagement ring styles—and will harmonize easily with any jewelry collection.

Colored diamonds strike a bold engagement ring pose, while still providing the durability and singular sparkle of that iconic stone. They can be difficult to find in original antique and vintage solitaire rings, so we’re especially excited to feature them in Lang settings designed to show a range of natural hues to their full advantage.
