This voluptuous, nearly spherical, early-twentieth-century pendant watch is expertly fashioned in silver and lustrous royal cobalt blue and white enamel. The 'Sunrite' watch face is encircled by delightfully fearsome Neo-Gothic sea serpents, a Greek-key or meander motif and an elegant repeating trident pattern. Nearly 1 inch long and wide, this captivating bauble is suspended from a stylish Art Deco 23 1/2 inch silver chain, accented with bars of royal blue and black enamel.
The watch movement has these markings: Hoffman Watch Co, Fifteen 15 Jewels, M&A, Two2ADJ, Sunrite, Swiss, 5585. The case has a standing bear in a bullet shaped cartouche meaning it was made in Switzerland between 1880-1934 and is 875 Silver. The inside dome is stamped Hoffman Watch Co, Sterling Silver, Swiss 0,935. 138
