ABOUT THIS JEWELRY

Go big or go home! Victorians loved color and big, bold, juicy jewels. Gleaming with a lush and lovely clear purple hue, the considerable--and captivating--65.00-carat high-domed cabochon amethyst at the center of this 19th century wonder is punctuated by a bright star, shimmering with 17 single-cut diamonds. Surrounded by a gold frame embellished with double twists and encircled by brightly burnished gold spheres, the entire, and utterly artful, assemblage suspends from an 18-inch cable chain. Yeah, go big. Hand fabricated in 18K yellow gold, circa 1885. The pendant measures 1 3/4 by 2 3/16 inches and matches with ring 10-3-14155.
