Late Art Deco Diamond and Synthetic Sapphire Band Ring
ABOUT THIS RING
A seamlessly-set streak of rich royal blue synthetic sapphires* are bordered north and south by a row of small sparkling white diamonds (plus one on each shoulder), in this sleekly tailored late-Art Deco band ring, die-struck and hand finished in two-tone 14K white (on top) and yellow gold (around and below). Circa 1930s-40s. Currently ring size 6 1/4.
*Back in the day, beginning in the 1920s-30s, due to their color consistency and flawless clarity, synthetic sapphires were considered a modern improvement over their natural counterparts, their differences discernible only with a microscope.
