ABOUT THIS BRACELET
Prior to the 19th century, ground lapis lazuli was used to create the ultramarine pigment used by painters. It was also used, as it is today, to create striking jewelry. The deep denim blue cabochon stones in this bracelet are particularly intriguing because of their plentiful patches of gold-colored pyrite. Joined together by elongated octagonal and rectangular ribbed links, they create a different kind of 'painting' around your wrist. Hand fabricated in 14K gold, circa 1930s-40s (late Art Deco) it measures 7 1/4 inches.
