ABOUT THIS RING

Dating back to the first or second decade of the twentieth century, this delicate late-Edwardian/early-Art Deco delight, hand fabricated in platinum over 18K yellow gold, sparkles front and center with a bright-white bezel-set European-cut diamond embellished up and down and all around with tiny glinting rose-cut diamonds and a pair of small single-cut diamonds. The graceful lozenge shape is outlined by small royal blue calibre sapphires (synthetic*) and is supported by rose-cut diamond-set shoulders. A timeless treasure but far too delicate for everyday wear. 11/16 inch. Currently ring size 7. *Back in the day, circa 1920's, due to their color consistency and flawless clarity, synthetic sapphires were considered a modern improvement over their natural counterparts, the differences discernible only with a microscope.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
