Late Edwardian/Early Art Deco .63 Carat Diamond Engagement Ring
ABOUT THIS RING
When spring turns to fall, a glorious mix of bright green, yellow, orange, and red leaves flutter in the trees signaling transition. As with the seasons, one era of jewelry design often blends into the next. And so it is with this late-Edwardian/Early Art Deco jewel, as the intricate detailing and laciness of the Edwarian periods gives way to a slightly more streamlined design. Centered by an effervescent .63 carat European-cut diamond--held by striking geometric prongs and surrounded by glittering single cuts--the ring presents an elegant louvered side gallery and shoulders adorned with hand-engraved leaves and a neoclassical motif. A beautiful blend indeed. Total diamond weight, .88 carat. Hand fabricated in platinum, currently ring size 5 1/2.
