Once upon a time, Loretz and Benoit catered to the San Francisco carriage trade from their upstairs jewelry salon located in Union Square. This chic and stunning gemstone ring, starring a gorgeous 5.46 carat cornflower blue cushion-cut sapphire--faintly tinged with violet--perfectly represents their restrained, classic design aesthetic. Accompanied by a gemological report from Stone Group Laboratories stating: Natural, No Indications of Thermal Enhancement, Ceylon (Sri Lanka) origin, the enchanting gemstone glistens and glows between a pair of gleaming white tapered baguette diamonds, all of which are presented in lustrous platinum. Stunning. Total diamond weight, .42 carat. Circa 1940s-50s. LB maker's mark inside ring shank. Currently ring size 6 3/4.
