ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

An array of gloriously glittering diamonds is artfully arranged to create the uncommon design of this marvelous Mid-Century necklace by Edward Petri*. The focal point is a trio of diamonds in a mix of shapes--an east/west oriented marquise, an inverted pear, and a bright white heart--all of which swing and sway between diamond-set elongated paisley shapes. This delightful design connects to a linked chain of alternating, graduated marquise and round brilliant-cut diamonds, culminating at the back with a clasp set with a marquise framed by round brilliants. Wow! Heart shaped-diamond weights 1.98 carats.Total diamond weight, 8.33 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum, it measures 16 inches. *Edward Petri Jewelers and manufacturers was founded by Edward Petri in 1922. His firm created and manufactured jewelry in the European fashion using platinum, the king of metals, with diamonds and fine gemstones. He was considered to be one of the finest jewelers of his time. The third owner is currently Charles (Charlie) F. Walker and he continues to hand fabricate and custom-make jewelry with equipment from the 1890s.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
