Mid-Century Modernist Cubist Lapis Lazuli Brooch
ABOUT THIS BROOCH
Thank you Pablo Picasso for pioneering the avante-garde Cubism art movement--all sorts of super cool things came out of it, including some indisputably distinctive jewelry like this Mid-Century Modernist brooch. Layers of randomly positioned openwork rectangles in varying sizes create an abstract form--characteristic of the aesthetic--punctuated, in striking contrast, by a vibrant cobalt blue pear-shaped cabochon lapis lazuli creating dynamic dimension. Hand fabricated in 14K gold. The brooch can also be worn on a chain slid behind the double pin mechanism.
