ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

Every part of this Mid-Century Mughal-style necklace is a wondrous delight. The pendant presents a bezel-set 11.50-carat luscious mint-green beryl or emerald (the foil backing prevents determining if it has the depth of color to be classified as an emerald), carved with a lotus flower and framed by a scalloped surround of rich 22 carat gold set with sparkling bright white sapphires. The reverse is a stunning miniature masterpiece of enamel work, featuring an exotic bird in a field of flowers encircled by hearts. The captivating and colorful creation is finished with a flourish of dancing free-form button seed pearls, and suspends from a 16 1/4-inch fancy link chain. A centuries-old aesthetic now yours for the wearing. Total white sapphire weight, 2.25 carats.
