ABOUT THIS BROOCH

We're not certain of the vintage of this wonderfully whimsical jewel (we assume the first half of the 20th century), but we love it! Poised at the bottom of a glittering rose cut diamond-set staircase, a gleaming gold mouse has captured the 'big cheese'--an intriguingly shaped, lustrous iridescent baroque pearl. Artfully sculpted in silver over 18K gold, it measures 2 1/4 inches by just over 1 inch.
