ABOUT THIS JEWELRY

Cool and collectible cuff links, crafted in palladium and diamonds, circa 1940s-50s, by none other than the famed Swiss watchmakers - Lucien Piccard, during a brief mid-century foray into fine jewelry. Palladium, a member of the platinum family, was mainly used during the WWII years when platinum was required as a strategic metal. These round cuff links measure 11/16 inch across, each centering on a sparkling quarter-carat round brilliant-cut diamond, flush-set in a finely textured circle bordered by single-cut diamonds. Nicely signed on the swivel backs. .90 carat total diamond weight.

About Mid-Century Jewelry

Mid-Century jewelers gave the Victorians a run for their money when it came to variety—with the added bonus of big, bold gems in every shape, size, and color. Themes of previous eras were made fabulous enough to match the optimism of the post-war world. Transitional pieces bridged the gap between the first and second half of the 20th century.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
