With a roster of clients that included royalty, stars of the silver screen, and well-heeled husbands and wives, the Petochi jewelry firm—which held the prized Italian Royal warrant for jewelry design during the reign of the Italian monarch in 1926—is known for jewels of unparalleled beauty. This magnificent creation shimmers with seven strands of oval and free-form freshwater pearls all joined by a stunning clasp that gleams with a lovely 7.00-carat natural sea-blue cabochon sapphire surrounded by scintillating single and round brilliant-cut diamonds. Bellissimo! Total diamond weight, 1.15 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum (tongue is 18K white gold). Stamped on tongue: G. Petochi Roma.Strands measure 14-18 inches. Sapphire accompanied by a GIA gemological report that states: No heat. Sri Lanka (Ceylon) origin.
