ABOUT THIS BROOCH

Here's an unusual, exotic and striking stunner by the great American jeweler--Raymond C. Yard.* Artfully designed and expertly hand fabricated in platinum, circa 1920s-30s, wavy rays, set with European-cut diamonds, radiate in all directions around four bezel-set sky-blue aquamarines. A cool one measuring 2 inches across by 1 1/8 inch high. Total diamond weight - 1.65 carat, total aquamarien weight -  4.50 carats.

*Raymond C. Yard is considered one of the great Art Deco jewelers, counting among his customers many of the families that defined American enterprise in the early 20th century, including the Rockefellers, Vanderbilts, Woolworths, and DuPonts. Using only the highest quality gemstones and the most exquisite platinum mountings, the company designed jewelry that not only took on an identifiable style of his own, but elevated the Art Deco aesthetic to a new level. Raymond Yard's original designs continue to be made today and sold exclusively at fine retailers.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
