ABOUT THIS BRACELET

What images do you see in the clouds? The renowned Beverly Hills jeweler William Ruser asked the same thing of himself when looking at freshwater pearls. After he and his wife opened their jewelry shop on Rodeo Drive (currently the home of Van Cleef & Arpels), he made the previously unappreciated gem popular by creating imaginative pieces—including angelic cherubs, heavenly poodles, and children of the day (as in 'Monday's child is fair of face', etc.)—from his collection of these oddly shaped pearls. This somewhat more restrained, yet utterly enchanting and unique bracelet presents pairs of the aforementioned shimmering pearls, cloud-like in appearance, ingeniously set atop openwork mountings with prongs tipped by glittering Swiss-cut diamonds, all together creating a circle of luster and sparkle to wrap your wrist. A rare and ravishing collectible. Total diamond weight, .60 carat. Crafted in 18K gold and platinum (diamond settings), it measures 6 1/4 inches.

About Mid-Century Jewelry

Mid-Century jewelers gave the Victorians a run for their money when it came to variety—with the added bonus of big, bold gems in every shape, size, and color. Themes of previous eras were made fabulous enough to match the optimism of the post-war world. Transitional pieces bridged the gap between the first and second half of the 20th century.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
