Natural Jade Antique Chinese 'Pipa' Brooch

A rich, vivid translucent green carved jade is employed as the gourd for this 'Pipa', a traditional stringed instrument from China. The neck, pegs and strings are hand fabricated in 14k gold with a rose-yellow hue and time worn patina. A wonderful rare wearable collectable. 2 5/16 inches long. Circa early-to-mid 20th century.
