ABOUT THIS RING

Dreaming of the Caribbean? The utterly captivating and unusual ultra-crystalline (diamond clean) cushion-cut emerald in this gorgeous early Art Deco ring (circa 1915-1920), by America's preeminent fine jeweler of the period - Tiffany & Company, will transport you there. Weighing 6.25 carats, the beautifully shaped cushion modified brilliant stone is imbued with an unusual and enchanting vibrant clear blue-green hue (similar in color to a fine Paraiba tourmaline), evocative of the most breathtaking island seas. As is fitting, this resplendent gem crowns a hand fabricated platinum mounting--exquisitely designed and expertly hand fabricated in in platinum-- and is set with 26 sparkling single-cut diamonds, including two pierced, mirror-image, stylized paisley shapes on the shoulders. A fancifully scrolled side gallery, a fully hand engraved ring shank, and delicate millegrain edging add delightful details to this ultra rare and ravishing, highly collectable vintage jewel. Signed 'Tiffany &' ('Co.' is worn away). Emerald accompanied by a gemological report from American Gemological Laboratories (AGL) stating: Clarity Enhancement 'None'. Colombia origin. Currently ring size 6 1/2.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
