ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
Various neoclassical design elements coalesce to create this dreamy and fabulously feminine work of consummate Victoriana. All artfully hand carved in pretty pink seashell, circa 1875, the necklace is composed of alternating scroll motifs and scarabs (classic Egyptian Revival), converging in the center with a lovely mascaron section. The three dangling pendants feature protruding and ever vigilant visages set atop ornate shield shape frames. A couple small ornamental dangles and a floret topped clasp add the finishing flourishes to this rare and ravishing antique adornment.
