ABOUT THIS JEWELRY

A trio of bright and shining European-cut diamonds, together weighing just under one-and-a-half-carats (1.45 cts.) sparkle shoulder-to-shoulder in this classic three-stone ring crafted in two-tone 14K gold. The diamonds date from the 1920s-30s and were reset into their sturdy new home during the mid-20th-century. Currently ring size 7. The maker's mark indicates by J.R. Wood (est. 1850 in NY, continued until 1970 when it merged with Lenox; in 1975 it was changed from JR Wood to the renowned Art Carved).

About Mid-Century Jewelry

Mid-Century jewelers gave the Victorians a run for their money when it came to variety—with the added bonus of big, bold gems in every shape, size, and color. Themes of previous eras were made fabulous enough to match the optimism of the post-war world. Transitional pieces bridged the gap between the first and second half of the 20th century.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
