ABOUT THIS RING
This darling and rather unusual diamond engagement ring, circa 1940s, highlights a .25 carat Swiss diamond glistening from within a circle of small old mine and European-cut diamonds. What makes this lovely ring uncommon is that it is crafted in three precious metals: 18 karat yellow gold, platinum and palladium*. *Palladium is a look-a-like cousin of platinum, which was required as a strategic metal during the WWII years (thus it's a more peaceful precious metal!).
