A fresh, simple and thoroughly chic take on the diamond necklace. Eighteen old mine and European-cut diamonds (early-20th century vintage ) create a spectacular crescent of sparkle accented at each end--in geometric contrast--by a pair of glistening baguette diamonds set in a 'V' shape. The crisp assemblage connects to a sleek cobra link chain joined by a rectangular clasp that glitters with a half dozen mine-cut diamonds. A new classic. Total diamond weight, 9.10 carats. Rendered in 14K white gold (tongue and clasp are platinum), it measures 15 1/4 inches.

Like fine wine, fine jewelry also has a “vintage”—the design period or era from which it hails. Victorian or Edwardian, Art Deco or Retro, each piece in our collection has its own special pedigree. But just because one era ended and another began, it doesn’t mean that creative jewelry makers simply forgot the lessons of the past! Many of the jewels in our cases refuse to conform to a single design period, either by striking out on their own or showing the transition from one era to the next.
