A rare sighting indeed! An opal breasted, ruby-eyed, golden-tailed, diamond-headed mama bird is tending to her pearly chick, and a lustrous soon-to-be hatched pearl egg, all perched upon a textured branch with glittering diamond-set leaves, in this whimsical, wearable work of art. Hand fabricated in platinum and 14K yellow gold, circa early-to-mid 20th century, it measures 1 1/2 inches from beak to tail feathers. Condition note: opal has some mild crazing (cracks due to dehydation) and is priced accordingly. Handle with care.
