ABOUT THIS BROOCH

Watch out! The fastest fish in the ocean--the Pacific Sailfish--is heading straight for your lapel. Known to reach speeds of nearly 70 milers per hour, the swiftly swimming species has a vibrant cobalt blue color and a spectacular dorsal fin that, when flattened, turns it into a torpedo that shoots through the water. This one, artfully crafted in 14K gold and exquisitely colored with gleaming blue, green and white baked enamel, is happy to linger wherever you choose to mount it - including over your fireplace! 2 5/8 inches from tip of the spear to tail.

About Mid-Century Jewelry

Mid-Century jewelers gave the Victorians a run for their money when it came to variety—with the added bonus of big, bold gems in every shape, size, and color. Themes of previous eras were made fabulous enough to match the optimism of the post-war world. Transitional pieces bridged the gap between the first and second half of the 20th century.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
