Vintage Diamond Snake Bracelet

Here is one of the most fabulous and unusual snake bracelets we've come across. The hallmarks tell us it was made in the Netherlands, circa 1953-55, around the same time Victorian jewelry enjoyed a revival in the States. However, compared to our domestic counterparts, this mid-century masterpiece is virtually indistinguishable from a Victorian original. In fact, only the hallmarks gave it away. Expertly hand-fabricated in rich 18K yellow gold, the fully articulated scalar bracelet culminates in a chased, repoussé style serpent's head, crowned with 3.20 carats of bright white and sparkling old mine cushion-cut diamonds, two of which weigh about one carat each. Even the inside of the bracelet is hand- engraved to match the top. A truly special, splendid and 'striking'-ly stunning vintage adornment. Please view our entire 'Rose Cut Retrospective' here.
