ABOUT THESE EARRINGS

These bold and beautiful ear baubles from the renowned NYC Jeweler, Raymond C. Yard, glisten, gleam and glow with a magnificent pair of sizable white opals, together weighing 11.00 carats. The enchanting gemstones, each imbued with a fabulous phantasmagorical array of electric kaleidoscopic pastel colors, are embraced half-way around by sparkling white round brilliant-cut diamonds alternating with gleaming baguette diamonds, all of which are presented in lustrous platinum. Rare and ravishing beauties dating back to the 1960s. Just a smidgen shy of 1 inch. 2.05 carat total diamond weight. The clips are 14K white gold.

*Raymond C. Yard is considered one of the great Art Deco jewelers, counting among his customers many of the families that defined American enterprise in the early 20th century, including the Rockefellers, Vanderbilts, Woolworths, and DuPonts. Using only the highest quality gemstones and the most exquisite platinum mountings, the company designed jewelry that not only took on an identifiable style of his own, but elevated the Art Deco aesthetic to a new level. Raymond Yard's original designs continue to be made today and sold exclusively at fine retailers.

About Mid-Century Jewelry

Mid-Century jewelers gave the Victorians a run for their money when it came to variety—with the added bonus of big, bold gems in every shape, size, and color. Themes of previous eras were made fabulous enough to match the optimism of the post-war world. Transitional pieces bridged the gap between the first and second half of the 20th century.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
