ABOUT THESE EARRINGS

Colombia is know for many things--aromatic coffee, salsa dancing and, best of all, the finest emeralds in the world. The spectacular stones in these stunning earrings--together weighing in at an impressive 18.14 carats--glisten and gleam with a clear, richly saturated, minty green color and are fabulously accented with fan-like flourishes of crisply sparkling marquise diamonds (together weighing 2.50 carats). Fanciful openwork galleries add the final dash of detail to these splendid, stop-the-show (just for you!) jewels. Each emerald (one 9.12 carats, the other 9.02) are accompanied by an American Gemological Laboratories report stating: Natural Emerald. Minor to Moderate Clarity Enhancement. Colombia - Origin. Hand fabricated in platinum with 14K white gold clip backs. (Of all gemstones, photos can't begin to capture the depth of color and brightness of emeralds, and the highly magnified photography exaggerates the inclusions. Thus you'll be pleasantly surprised when you see it in person!)

About Estate Jewelry

Though it calls to mind grand manor houses in the English countryside, “estate” is just a fancy way of describing any piece of jewelry with a previous owner. That’s pretty much everything in our collection. We tend to use “estate” to refer to pieces in our collection with a more modern or contemporary design, or vintage-inspired designs. These perennial gems are selected in harmony with our original antique and vintage pieces…they’re just a little bit younger!

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
