Antique Demantoid Garnet and Diamond Ring, Circa 1904
ABOUT THIS RING
The intriguing design of this charming and cheerful ring will have you glancing at your hand time and time again. Two bright and sparkling spring green demantoid garnets, by way of the Ural Mountains of Russia, are separated by a small sash of crisp and lively Swiss-cut diamonds, accented east and west by pairs of tiny round demantoids. A pair of gold curlicues add the final design detail to this delightful early-20th century English jewel (c. 1904 according to the hallmarks inside the ring shank). Total demantoid weight, .55 carat. Hand fabricated in 18K gold, currently ring size 7 1/2. Condition note: one of the larger demantoids has a small chip.
