A delicate delight with a marvelous mix of color, sparkle, and metals. At the center of this sweet wisp of a pin is an oval opal glowing with electric flecks of blues and greens in an ornamental surround of tiny twinkling rose-cut diamonds set in platinum over 18K gold. Slender gold ribbed bars embrace the lovely assemblage, while a honeycomb-like gallery adds a subtle bit of detail. C'est trés jolie! Circa 1900, from France.
