From nineteenth-century Roma (it says so on the reverse), a colorful and exotic ancient Egyptian Revival style pendant necklace featuring an iridescent scarab that has alighted smack in the center of an intricately designed and executed micro-mosaic cartouche. Only one drop and the top bail are lacking a few tesserae. 3 1/4 inches by 1 3/16 inches. This beautiful and collectible work of jewelry art resides in its original, well-worn, fitted box.
