ABOUT THIS BRACELET

Sometimes all you need is one fancy and absolutely fabulous bangle to set off your whole look. In this magnificent, one-of-a-kind, early-20th century jewel, golden wheat-colored cushion-cut sapphires alternate with light lavender-blue sapphires--surrounded by a glittering wreath of old mind and rose-cut diamonds--to make a dramatic showing against a backdrop of glossy deep cobalt blue enamel (look closely, there's a pretty pattern underneath). This spectacularly sparkling and artful assemblage tops a brightly burnished hinged bracelet that is finished with flourishes of hand engraved foliate designs. A wild and wonderful showpiece for your wrist. Circa 1900. Total sapphire weight - 34.50 carats, total diamond weight - 2.40 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum over 15ct. gold (hence, most likely of British origin), it measures just over 1 1/4 by 6 5/8 inches. The bracelet is accompanied by a gemological report from Stone Group Laboratory stating: Natural, No Indications of Thermal Enhancement, Ceylon origin. Condition note: Some enamel restoration present.

About Victorian Jewelry

The eclectic Victorians didn’t limit themselves when it came to motifs and themes—if it struck their fancy, they turned it into jewelry. Sweet and sentimental with a distinct romantic streak, Victorian gems expanded upon their Georgian predecessors. The array of styles that blossomed (sometimes quite literally) during this era endure to this day.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
