ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
In 1839, Charles Goodyear was credited with discovering Vulcanite, a material made from hardened rubber that, during the late-Georgian/early-Victorian period, was occasionally used in jewelry such as this unusual 18-inch watch chain with gold-wrapped smaller double links. The chain may also be worn as a unique earth-toned necklace. The swivel clasp is gold filled.
