Founded in 1919, the family-run house of Buccellati creates jewelry of uncommon beauty using centuries-old Italian metalworking techniques and exquisite gemstones to produce extraordinary and imaginative pieces, each one an indisputable work of art. This alluring set features a necklace of textured, shimmering gold leaves--with a rich, rosy patina--that alternate with something quite special and different: shimmering white ethereal blooms carved from a melding of mother-of-pearl and blister pearls. Rhodium-plated gold 'ribbons' and tiny textured spheres add detail of striking contrast. The complementing earrings complete this incomparable and intriguing masterwork. Hand fabricated in 18K gold, the necklace measures 16 inches, the earrings are 1 1/2 inches long.
