An emerald? A tsavorite garnet? No. This resplendent, richly saturated forest green hue is that of a rarer tourmaline colored by, in addition to vanadium, the element chromium. The gorgeous, glistening 3.35 carat cushion modified brilliant-cut stone displays its vibrant verdant hue between icy white bullet-shaped diamonds and is supported by a substantial and brightly burnished 18K gold shank. A striking beauty. Total diamond weight, .56 carat. Currently ring size 7 1/4. AGL gemological report states: Natural tourmaline. Colored by chromium.
