ABOUT THIS BROOCH

Two and one-half inches long, this slithery serpent, hand-fabricated in silver over 18K rosy-yellow gold, circa 1890, is aglitter with vibrant bright lime green demantoid garnets from the Ural mountains of Russia. Her eyes are red garnets and her head is crowned with a highly unusual cabochon demantoid garnet. A rare and wonderful late-Victorian specimen! The pin stem is 14K.
