Edwardian 1.15 Carat Marquise-Cut Diamond Ring
ABOUT THIS RING
Commissioned by King Louis XV to resemble the perfect curves of his mistress's lips, the elegant marquise diamond--elliptical with pointed ends--is still a favored choice for those who desire a diamond that's just a step away from the conventional geometric-shaped stones. Adding to its allure, this one, weighing 1.15 carats, has an enchanting champagne hue--with an effervescence to match--and is surrounded by 16 scintillating single and old mine cut diamonds, all of which crown a bright 14K gold shank with gently tapered shoulders. Millegrain edging adds the finishing detail to this Edwardian beauty (marquise center diamond is later). Total diamond weight, 1.85 carats. Hand fabricated in silver over 14K gold (diamond settings) and 14K yellow gold.
