English 18K Victorian Diamond Buckle Ring, Circa 1902

ABOUT THIS RING
Although Queen Victoria wore a buckle ring to represent her membership to the Order of the Garter, an order of chivalry created by King Edward III in 1348, the style became popular with regular citizens and took on a different and sentimental meaning, symbolizing love and unbreakable bonds. This lovely version is hand fabricated in lustrous 18K gold, embellished with an engraved foliate motif, and sparkles with a single old mine-cut diamond in a star setting. A truly virtuous—and cool—jewel. Hailing from England, 1902, it is currently ring size 7 1/2.
