ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
From late-19th Century Birmingham, England comes this unusual, substantial and beautifully crafted sterling silver oval locket, with a particularly handsome bale loop for attaching to a chain. The front is embossed with a riotous fern pattern - across many cultures ferns symbolize sincerity and confidence - and the reverse features a masterfully hand-engraved "KMG" monogram and English hallmarks. Inside are inserts for protecting photographs, pressed flowers, locks of hair and the like. 2 1/4 inches long (including bale) and 1 1/4 inches wide.
