ABOUT THIS RING

It's elemental--purple sapphires get their captivating hue from the trace element vanadium. The periodic table aside, the enthralling 1.50 carat sapphire (natural, no heat) that crowns this ultra-sparkling estate jewel has more than a trace of fabulous color. Its vibrant, dreamy raspberry-pinkish-purple glow is enhanced all around by trios of round brilliant cut diamond petals (north and south) and by shoulders set with princess cuts and baguettes bordered by tiny round brilliants. A spectacularly blazing display of sparkle and color. Total diamond weight, 1.60 carats. In platinum, currently ring size 5 3/4+. Gemological report from Stone Group Laboratories states: Natural. No indications of thermal enhancement. Madagascar origin.

About Estate Jewelry

Though it calls to mind grand manor houses in the English countryside, “estate” is just a fancy way of describing any piece of jewelry with a previous owner. That’s pretty much everything in our collection. We tend to use “estate” to refer to pieces in our collection with a more modern or contemporary design, or vintage-inspired designs. These perennial gems are selected in harmony with our original antique and vintage pieces…they’re just a little bit younger!

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
