In this (jewelry) copywriter's humble opinion, there is no cooler alternative engagement ring than a chrysoberyl cat's eye! However, whether you're looking for something of sentimental significance or a novel just-for-fun ring, this classic and entrancing estate jewel will do the trick. Weighing 3.16 carats, the modestly proportioned gemstone exhibits an earthy translucent khaki coloration bisected by a shimmering bright-white cat's-eye effect (the gemological phenomenon known as chatoyancy). A pair of small sparkling white oval diamonds (total weight, .38 carat) adds a dash of dazzle. Rendered in gleaming platinum, currently ring size 6.
